Maxwell’s academic journey led him from Cornerstone University, where he earned a scholarship for bowling and academics, to the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating with honors. While at Dayton, Maxwell excelled in the Attorney General Mock Trial Competition, earning recognition as Best Attorney. He also served as the Outside Articles Editor for the Dayton Law Review, publishing his article, “A Constitutional Right to Asylum? A Comparative Analysis Could Ground the Design of Better Protection for Asylum Seekers,” in 2022.
Active and engaged in the legal community, Maxwell is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, actively participating in the Young Lawyers Division, Appellate Court Practice Section, and Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section. He is also affiliated with the Ohio State Bar Association, contributing to its Young Lawyers section and Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law section.
Originally hailing from Michigan, Maxwell, along with his wonderful wife, now calls Kettering, Ohio, their home. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, bowling, golfing, watching sports, and spending time with his loyal companion, an old dog named Trout.
